Berrywood Swim & Tennis Club
Welcome!

We look forward to a safe, fun, and exciting summer. This summer your community is using Access Granted Systems, LLC to generate pool passes for all patrons. All patrons must present their pool pass to gain entrance to the pool area.

Membership Day Information

Membership Day at the Berrywood Clubhouse:

Thursday, March 14th, 2024

9am – 11am

5pm – 7pm

For those new to the neighborhood, Membership Day is when BS&TC board members will be on hand to confirm your membership selections, ensure we’ve received all of the necessary information, answer any membership questions you may have, and accept your check payment.

If you would prefer to turn in your check payment prior to Membership Day, it can be dropped off in the BS&TC box on the porch of 185 Berrywood Dr. in Berrywood. As an added bonus, any member that selects and pays for their BS&TC membership on or before Membership Day will receive 5 free guest passes. All parts of this form must be completed by April 1st, 2024 for membership to be active and facilities to be used. This includes any Berrywood Community Association (BCA) fees that are owed. All payments are also due by April 1st, 2024, after which a $50 late fee will apply.

Guest fees remain $2.00 per guest. The BS&TC Pool uses a badge/ID card system to keep better records on attendance and track the number of guests members bring. Members will be sent a bill at the end of the season at that $2 per guest rate.

Membership Types

BS&TC Bondholders: Anyone owning property in Berrywood that would like to utilize BS&TC facilities, must either be a bondholder or be on the waiting list to purchase a bond.
Associate Memberships are available for residents on the waitlist to purchase a bond. If you are not a bondholder and wish to be added to the waiting list to purchase a bond in order to utilize the BS&TC facilities, please contact the membership committee at berrywoodpoolmembership@gmail.com.
Non–resident Memberships are available but limited. Prior membership does not guarantee yearly membership for non–residents.

Bondholder Information and Obligations

If you obtain a bond through the purchase of a house, the bond must be transferred to your name. To transfer a bond, the original bond must be retired by turning it into the BS&TC Membership Chairperson. A check for $100 made out to the Berrywood Swim and Tennis Club to cover the transfer fee is required by the purchaser. The BS&TC Membership Chairperson will then coordinate the reissuance of the bond. Please note the importance of keeping bonds uptodate, and transferring the bond in a timely fashion so as to keep the bond from becoming delinquent.

Bondholders not wishing to purchase a swim or tennis package for the season are only required to pay the annual bond maintenance fee. For the 2024 season, the bond maintenance fee is $285. This fee is used for the upkeep of BS&TC property assets. Members not wishing to pay the bond maintenance fee have the option to have their bond brokered for sale by the BS&TC, to the next family on the bond waitlist. Please note if a bondholder chooses to sell their bond, they are precluded from joining the pool again for a period of 8 years. If the bond maintenance fee is not paid, the BS&TC can hold the member possessing the bond in default and said bond will be deemed as having NO VALUE. The bond will be reissued and sold by the BS&TC, per the by–laws.

All non–residents must be sponsored by a BS&TC bondholder whose BCA dues are current. Bondholders may only offer one sponsorship per season. Please refer to the Membership Summary Sheet for non–resident fees. Anyone wishing to be a non–resident member this year and was not one last year must contact berrywoodpoolmembership@gmail.com to be placed on a waiting list. Please include name, address and phone number of possible member(s) and the name of the sponsor.

State/County Guidance and Membership Deadline

Lastly, as in recent years, we will continue to listen and follow Anne Arundel County and Maryland State guidance on how to safely open our pool. As we get closer to the summer season, the BS&TC Board will keep you updated on any guidance that may affect pool operations.

We GREATLY appreciate your efforts to sign up on or before April 1, as this helps us immensely with determining resident and non–resident pool membership availability. Again, please note there is a $50 late fee for any membership that is not completed by April 1. Thank you for your time and cooperation. May we all enjoy a great season in 2024!
